The Holy Martyrs Agapius, Publius (Pausis), Timolaus, Romulus, Alexander, Alexander, Dionysius and Dionysius suffered under the emperor Diocletian (284-305) in the city of Palestinian Caesarea. The Orthodox Church commemorates Agapius on March 15.

Patronage / why chosen as patron

Orthodox Christians usually take Agapius as a patron when they bear the name Agapius at baptism, or were born or baptized near the feast on March 15. As a martyr, he is also asked for courage and faithfulness under trial.
