Aidan of Lindesfarne is remembered as Bishop of Lindesfarne. Aidan of Lindisfarne was an Irish monk and missionary credited with converting the Anglo-Saxons to Christianity in Northumbria. Orthodox Christians remember him as a hierarch who kept the apostolic faith in his see.
