Why they are a saint

Saint Archippus, son of devout Christians from the city of Hieropolis, at age ten went to pray in the church of the holy Chief Commander Michael and he remained at this temple to serve as church caretaker. The Orthodox Church commemorates Archippus of Herapolis on September 6.

Orthodox Christians usually take Archippus of Herapolis as a patron when they bear the name Archippus at baptism, or were born or baptized near the feast on September 6.
