Why they are a saint

Saint Arsenius of Farasa is the priest who baptised Elder Paisios the Athonite and gave him his Christian name—Arsenios. The Orthodox Church commemorates Arsenius of Cappadocia on October 28.

Orthodox Christians usually take Arsenius of Cappadocia as a patron when they bear the name Arsenius at baptism, or were born or baptized near the feast on October 28. Greek Orthodox faithful also honor his as one of their own.
