Why they are a saint

Saints Caesarius, Adrian, Dacius, Savva, Sabinian, Agrippa, and Thomas suffered martyrdom at Damascus in the seventh century. The Orthodox Church commemorates Cæsarius on November 1.

Orthodox Christians usually take Cæsarius as a patron when they bear the name Cæsarius at baptism, or were born or baptized near the feast on November 1. As a martyr, he is also asked for courage and faithfulness under trial.
