Why they are a saint
The Holy Martyrs Christopher, Theonas, and Anthony were officers in the army of the emperor Diocletian (284-305). The Orthodox Church commemorates Emmanuel of Samothrace on April 19.

Orthodox Christians usually take Emmanuel of Samothrace as a patron when they bear the name Emmanuel at baptism, or were born or baptized near the feast on April 19. As a martyr, he is also asked for courage and faithfulness under trial.
