Why they are a saint
Saint Evagrisi was born to God-fearing and pious parents who read the Holy Scriptures to him from the earliest years of his childhood. The Orthodox Church commemorates Evagrisi on February 4.
Patronage / why chosen as patron
Orthodox Christians usually take Evagrisi as a patron when they bear the name Evagrisi at baptism, or were born or baptized near the feast on February 4. Georgian Orthodox faithful also honor his as one of their own.
