Why they are a saint

Saint Galacteon was drowned in the sea for confessing faith in Christ. Saint Juliana was burned together with her son Saturninus because they were Christians. Venerated as a martyr who died for the faith in Christ.

Patronage / why chosen as patron

Orthodox Christians usually take Galacteon as a patron when they bear the name Galacteon at baptism, or were born or baptized near the feast on June 22. As a martyr, he is also asked for courage and faithfulness under trial.
