Why they are a saint

Gregory the Enlightener was known as enlightener of Armenia, the first kingdom to receive Christianity as a people. The years given for this life are c. 257–331. Orthodox Christians honor that apostolic work of bringing a people to Christ. This memory is kept in the Armenian Church.
