Why they are a saint

As Archbishop of Kazan, Gurias of Kazan is numbered with the saints of the Church. Gury of Kazan, also called Gurias was a prelate of the Russian Orthodox Church who became the first archbishop of Kazan and Svyazhsk in 1555. Orthodox Christians honor him as one in whom the Gospel was lived to the end.
