Why they are a saint
The holy New Martyr Ignatius (Bazyluk) was born in Poland sometime in 1860s, and received the name Jacob at his Baptism. The Orthodox Church commemorates Ignatius on August 9.

Orthodox Christians usually take Ignatius as a patron when they bear the name Ignatius at baptism, or were born or baptized near the feast on August 9. As a martyr, he is also asked for courage and faithfulness under trial.
