Why they are a saint
The Holy Martyrs Innas, Pinnas and Rimmas were Slavs from Scythia Minor, who were disciples of the Holy Apostle Andrew the First-Called. The Orthodox Church commemorates Innas on January 20.
Patronage / why chosen as patron
Orthodox Christians usually take Innas as a patron when they bear the name Innas at baptism, or were born or baptized near the feast on January 20. As a martyr, he is also asked for courage and faithfulness under trial.
