Why they are a saint
Saint Jadorus suffered martyrdom with Saint Isidore (not Isidore of Pelusium) in the reign of Decius (249-251). The Orthodox Church commemorates Jadorus on February 4.
Patronage / why chosen as patron
Orthodox Christians usually take Jadorus as a patron when they bear the name Jadorus at baptism, or were born or baptized near the feast on February 4. As a martyr, he is also asked for courage and faithfulness under trial.
