Jonah of Moscow is remembered as Metropolitan of Moscow. Jonah of Moscow was Metropolitan of Kiev and all Rus', the primate of the Russian Orthodox Church, from 1448 until his death in 1461. Orthodox Christians remember him as a hierarch who kept the apostolic faith in his see.

Orthodox Christians usually take Jonah of Moscow as a patron when they bear the name Jonah at baptism, or were born or baptized near the feast on June 15. As a bishop, he is also remembered by clergy and those who serve the Church.
