The Holy Martyr Leonidas and the Holy Martyrs Charissa, Nike (Nika, Victoria), Galina, Kalista (Kalida), Nunekhia, Basilissa, Irene, and Theodora suffered at Corinth in the year 258. The Orthodox Church commemorates Leonidas on April 16.

Orthodox Christians usually take Leonidas as a patron when they bear the name Leonidas at baptism, or were born or baptized near the feast on April 16. As a martyr, he is also asked for courage and faithfulness under trial.
