Why they are a saint

Menas of Egypt was an egyptian soldier-martyr; his shrine at Mareotis was a great pilgrimage. In Orthodox popular devotion asked for lost things and by travelers. The years given for this life are 3rd–4th century. The New Calendar feast is November 11.
