Why they are a saint

Saint Photius, Patriarch of Constantinople, “the Church’s far-gleaming beacon,” lived during the ninth century, and came from a family of zealous Christians. The Orthodox Church commemorates Photius on February 6.

Patron of booksellers, librarians, scholars, because he taught and wrote in defence of the faith.
