Saint Rostislav (Rastislav) the Prince of Great Moravia, and Equal of the Apostles, became Prince in 846, following the death of his uncle Mojmir I. The Orthodox Church commemorates Rostislav on May 11.

Orthodox Christians usually take Rostislav as a patron when they bear the name Rostislav at baptism, or were born or baptized near the feast on May 11. As a ruler, he is also remembered by those who bear responsibility for others.
