Among the multitude of saints we remember those Christians who dedicated their earthly lives to glorifying God and serving others. The Orthodox Church commemorates Saints John on November 4.

Patronage / why chosen as patron

Orthodox Christians usually take Saints John as a patron when they bear the name Saints at baptism, or were born or baptized near the feast on November 4. Georgian Orthodox faithful also honor his as one of their own.
