Why they are a saint

Saint Pimen the Fool-for-Christ and Anton Meskhi (of Meskheti, in southern Georgia) lived in the 13th century, when the Mongols were regularly invading Georgia. The Orthodox Church commemorates Saints Pimen of Salosi and Anton Meskhi on March 16.

Orthodox Christians usually take Saints Pimen of Salosi and Anton Meskhi as a patron when they bear the name Saints at baptism, or were born or baptized near the feast on March 16. Georgian Orthodox faithful also honor his as one of their own.
