Why they are a saint
He was the founder and rector of the Transfiguration Monastery on the Sokhoti River, about 16.5 miles (25 versts) from Poshekhonie, Jaroslavl′ Province. The Orthodox Church commemorates Sebastian of Poshekhonye on February 26.

Orthodox Christians usually take Sebastian of Poshekhonye as a patron when they bear the name Sebastian at baptism, or were born or baptized near the feast on February 26. As a monastic, he is also asked for help in prayer, fasting, and repentance.
