Sofronie of Cioara (Romanian: Sofronie de la Cioara) is a Romanian Orthodox saint. He was an Eastern Orthodox monk who advocated for the freedom of worship of the Romanian population in Transylvania.

Orthodox Christians usually take Sofronie of Cioara as a patron when they bear the name Sofronie at baptism, or were born or baptized near the feast on October 21. Romanian Orthodox faithful also honor his as one of their own.
