Why they are a saint

The Holy martyr Theodula lived in the city of Anazarbus (Asia Minor) during the reign of the Roman emperors Diocletian (284-305) and Maximian (305-311). The Orthodox Church commemorates Theodula of Anazarbus on February 5.

Orthodox Christians usually take Theodula of Anazarbus as a patron when they bear the name Theodula at baptism, or were born or baptized near the feast on February 5. As a martyr, he is also asked for courage and faithfulness under trial.
