The Holy Martyrs Trophimus and Eucarpion were soldiers at Nicomedia during the persecution against Christians under the emperor Diocletian (284-305). The Orthodox Church commemorates Trophimus and Eucarpus of Nicomedia on March 18.

Orthodox Christians usually take Trophimus and Eucarpus of Nicomedia as a patron when they bear the name Trophimus at baptism, or were born or baptized near the feast on March 18. As a martyr, he is also asked for courage and faithfulness under trial.
