Why they are a saint

The Holy Martyr Vincent of Spain from his childhood was the disciple of a wise pastor Valerian, the bishop of the city of Augustopolis (now Saragossa, Spain). The Orthodox Church commemorates Vincent of Spain on November 11.

Orthodox Christians usually take Vincent of Spain as a patron when they bear the name Vincent at baptism, or were born or baptized near the feast on November 11. As a martyr, he is also asked for courage and faithfulness under trial.
