Why they are a saint
Holy Women Olympias the Deaconess († 408-410) of Constantinople and Eupraxia, the Virgin of Tabenna († 413) are commemorated by the Orthodox Church on July 25. They are for a life of holiness recognized by the Church; little else about their lives has come down to us.
Patronage / why chosen as patron
Orthodox Christians usually take Women as a patron when they bear the name Women at baptism, or were born or baptized near the feast on July 25. Greek Orthodox faithful also honor her as one of their own.
