Why they are a saint

There is very little information about Saint Zēnaίda, except that she was born in 284, in Caesarea of Palestine, and that she was found worthy of the charism of working miracles. The Orthodox Church commemorates Zēnaίda on June 7.

Patronage / why chosen as patron

Orthodox Christians usually take Zēnaίda as a patron when they bear the name Zēnaίda at baptism, or were born or baptized near the feast on June 7. As a martyr, he is also asked for courage and faithfulness under trial.
